Privacy policy
What we collect, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and how to make us delete it.
1. What we collect
We only collect what an order or a question actually needs:
- Details you type in: your name, phone number, e-mail address, delivery address and any note you add for the rider or for us.
- Order details: the products, sizes, quantities, amounts, delivery fee, total, chosen payment method and order number.
- Payment confirmation: whether a payment succeeded, its reference, and the amount. We do not receive or store your full card number, expiry date or CVV.
- Messages: what you send us on WhatsApp, Live Chat or e-mail, so we can answer and keep a record of what was agreed.
- Account details if you sign in: your e-mail address, your wishlist and your past orders.
- Technical basics: approximate location from your IP address (country, region), browser type and the pages you visited, so the site works and so we can see what is broken.
We do not ask for your date of birth, your bank login, your BVN, your PIN or your card details, and you should never send them to us.
2. Why we collect it
| What we use it for | Why we are allowed to |
|---|---|
| Taking, confirming, packing and delivering your order | To perform the contract you made with us when you ordered |
| Taking payment and preventing fraud | Contract, and our legitimate interest in not being defrauded |
| Answering your questions and handling returns | Contract and our legitimate interest in serving you properly |
| Sending the one order confirmation e-mail per order | Contract — it is part of the order |
| Improving the site and spotting errors | Our legitimate interest in a working shop |
| Marketing e-mails or newsletters, if you ask for them | Your consent — withdraw it any time |
| Keeping records for tax and accounting | Legal obligation |
We do not sell your data, and we do not rent your contact details to anybody.
3. Cookies and what your browser remembers
The shop uses small bits of local storage in your own browser — not to follow you around the internet, but so that a cart survives a page reload. These are the main ones:
| Stored in your browser | What it is for |
|---|---|
| Cart contents | Keeps the items you added until you check out or empty the cart |
| Payment method you picked | Remembers your choice so the receipt shows the right bank or card instructions |
| Delivery state and area | So the delivery fee is calculated for where you actually are |
| Wishlist | Keeps the items you saved |
| Sign-in session | Keeps you signed in if you chose to sign in |
| Coupon code | Applies a discount you entered |
You can clear all of it at any time from your browser settings. Clearing it empties your cart and wishlist on that device. If we later add visitor statistics or advertising tools, this section will name them before they go live.
4. Card payments
Card payments are processed by our payment partner Paystack on a secure, encrypted page. Your card details go straight to them; we receive only confirmation that the payment succeeded, its reference and the amount. Paystack handles that data under its own privacy policy, and both parties apply the security standards required for card handling. If you pay by bank transfer, we see the amount and the sender name your bank shows us — nothing more.
5. Who we share it with
- Our payment partner — to take and confirm payment.
- Delivery riders and courier partners — name, phone number and address, because somebody has to find your door.
- Our e-mail provider — to send your order confirmation.
- Our hosting and platform providers — the site itself is hosted on Blogger/Google services, and order records are kept in a private Google-based database that only we can open.
- Professional advisers, auditors or authorities — only where the law requires it, or to establish or defend a legal claim.
Every partner above is given only what their job needs. Our delivery partners do not get your e-mail address, and our e-mail provider does not get your order history.
6. How long we keep it
Order records are kept for as long as we may need them for warranty, returns, accounting and tax — in practice up to 7 years, then deleted. Chat and e-mail threads are kept for up to 2 years after the last message. Wishlists stay until you remove the item or close your account. Anything we no longer need is deleted rather than left lying around.
7. Your rights
Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 you can ask us to:
- tell you what personal data we hold about you, and give you a copy;
- correct anything wrong or out of date;
- delete data we no longer have a reason to keep;
- stop using your data for a particular purpose, including marketing;
- restrict how we use it while a complaint is being looked at;
- send you the data you gave us in a common format.
E-mail your request from the address you used at checkout so we can match it to your record, and we will respond within 7 days. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC).
Deleting your order data stops us from being able to look up that order, honour a warranty or process a return later — we will tell you if that is the case before we delete anything.
8. Security
The site is served over HTTPS, order records live in a private database that only we can open, and access keys are rotated rather than shared around. No system is perfect, but we keep the amount of data we hold small on purpose: the less kept, the less there is to lose. If a breach ever affects your data, we will tell you and the NDPC as the law requires.
9. Children
The shop is meant for adults. If you are under 18, please order with a parent or guardian. We do not knowingly collect data from children, and if you believe a child has given us their details, tell us and we will delete them.
10. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes in a way that affects you, the date at the top of the page changes with it. Any change applies from that date, never backwards to an order you already placed.
