Terms of use
The agreement between you and SudoMarket when you browse this site or place an order.
1. Using this site
This website is run by SudoMarket (“we”, “us”). By browsing it, ordering from it or messaging us through it, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not place an order.
You must be 18 or older, or ordering with the permission of a parent or guardian. You agree to give true details — a real name, a phone number you answer, and an address a rider can actually find. Orders placed with deliberately false details may be cancelled.
Please do not use this site to break the law, to interfere with how it works, to scrape it, or to place orders you have no intention of paying for.
2. Products, pictures and prices
We describe every product as accurately as we can, including size, colour options, what is in the pack and its specifications. Screens show colour slightly differently, so a shade may look a little different in daylight — if the exact shade matters, ask before you buy.
All prices are in Nigerian Naira (₦) and include VAT where it applies. The price you see on the product page is the price charged in the cart. Delivery is calculated separately from your address and shown at checkout before you pay; orders of ₦100,000 and above are delivered free.
If a price or description is displayed in clear error — for example a blender listed at ₦500 — we may cancel the order and refund you in full rather than fulfil it. We will always tell you and refund you before anything else happens; we will never quietly charge you more.
3. Orders
Placing an order is your offer to buy. The contract is formed when we confirm your payment and begin preparing the item for dispatch. Until then, we may decline an order — for example if the item has just sold out, if the delivery address turns out to be outside our coverage, or if we suspect fraud.
- You get a receipt on the screen immediately and one confirmation e-mail per order.
- Stock counts are real. Where a product shows “Only 3 left”, the quantity stops at three, and we may reduce a quantity that has gone past the remaining stock, telling you when we do.
- Each order is for the items, sizes and quantities on that receipt. To add something, place a second order.
4. Payment
We accept bank transfer (Zenith Bank or OPay, in the name SudoMarket) and debit card on a secure payment page run by our payment partner, Paystack.
- No payment method is selected for you. The order will not go through until you choose one, so nothing is ever charged to the wrong method.
- Goods are dispatched once payment is confirmed. Transfer orders are dispatched after the payment is seen in our account.
- Card details are handled by Paystack, never by us.
- You can switch payment method on your receipt without re-entering the order.
If a payment is taken twice, or taken for an order we then cannot fulfil, tell us and we will refund the extra amount.
5. Delivery
We deliver nationwide. Timing, fees and what happens when nobody is available are set out on our Shipping page, which forms part of these terms. In short: the fee is shown at checkout before you pay, orders from ₦100,000 are free, and we aim for 1–3 working days in Lagos, Abuja and Port Harcourt and 2–5 elsewhere.
Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery to the address you gave. If the address or phone number is wrong and the item cannot be delivered, we will contact you to re-arrange; a second delivery attempt to a distant address may attract an extra fee.
6. Cancellations, returns and refunds
You can cancel an order that has not been dispatched — message us with the order number as soon as you can. Returns and refunds are covered by our Returns & Refunds page: 7 days from delivery for damaged, faulty or wrong items, and refunds started within 3–5 working days of the returned item being checked.
Nothing in these terms takes away the rights the law gives you as a consumer under the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Act.
7. Reviews, wishlist and anything you send us
Reviews should be about your own experience with the product — honest, and not abusive, misleading or containing somebody else’s personal details. We may remove a review that breaks those rules, and we keep reviews in their own tab so they never bury the product information.
By posting a review you allow us to show it on the site alongside the product. You keep ownership of what you wrote.
8. Our content
The SudoMarket name, logo, page designs, descriptions, photographs and the way this shop is put together belong to us or are used with permission. You may share links to our pages freely. You may not copy our descriptions or images to sell your own goods, or use our name in a way that suggests we endorse you.
9. Liability
We are responsible for the goods we sell arriving as described, and for using your data lawfully. We are not responsible for indirect losses such as lost profit or lost opportunity, or for delays caused by something genuinely outside our control — a courier strike, a road closure, a network or power outage.
Where the law allows us to limit our responsibility, our total responsibility for any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.
10. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. If something goes wrong, message us first — nearly everything is settled in one conversation. If it cannot be settled, both sides may refer the matter to the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission or to the courts of Nigeria.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the shop changes. The version in force is the one on this page on the day you order, and the date at the top shows when it last changed.
